Trio Motion Technology

Trio is an engineering technology company that designs high-performance machine controllers specializing in servo and stepper motion controls from 1 to 64 axes, using a variety of drive interfaces. The compact stand-alone designs and flexible modular approach enable mixed axis functionality. Control options include EtherCAT, stepper, analog servo, SERCOS, and CAN drive command generation. Programming is done using multi-tasking TrioBASIC, g-codes, or IEC 6-1131 standard language. In addition to motion, Trio’s Uniplay HMI system seamlessly integrates the user interface design with the motion and machine control, all in one software package.

Motion capability includes incremental, absolute, cams, gearing, linear, circular, helical, and spherical interpolation functionality. Communication options include industry standard Ethernet-based and serial protocols. High-speed CAN interface is used to expand system I/O, or be a direct interface to other CAN devices.
